FCA #1: Organizagion: Essay is well organized with an introductory paragraph, three body paragraphs, and a concluding paragraph. (25 pts)
FCA #2: Valuable Info: Essay contains accurate information from multiple sources (50 pts)
FCA #3: Capitalization and Punctuation: Each sentence begins with a capital letter and ends with a punctuation mark.

Objectives: Do I understand the vocabulary of the Civil Rights Movement? Can I paraphrase?  Can I synthesize information from several pieces of text and put what I have learned all together, in one essay?

1. Vocab cards - create vocab cards, using words related to the Civil Rights Movement.  
    Words: civil rights movement, Jim Crow, nonviolence, segregation, boycott,    

                democracy, solidarity, desegregate, civil disobedience
2. Watch video on the Greensboro Four.  Video can be found HERE.
3. Reader's Theater: The Brave Boys of Greensboro (see PDF below)
4. Research: Read and paraphrase information from the Greensboro Four articles. Do additional research on iPads.
5. Writing: Write an essay about the Greensboro 4.  Our essays will focus on organization, paraphrasing, and combining info from several sources.

Try to get finished with 10% summaries about Great White Sharks.  We will read at the end, if we have time.
Friday: 
We're going to the library!
People who aren't done with 10% summaries, we need to get these finished today.
People who are finished will play Scrabble. :)
 
Objective: Can I pull main ideas and supporting details from a non-fiction text?  Can I write a 10% summary that includes these main ideas and supporting detail
